  • WR50A is a structural weathering steel which is also referred to as atmospheric corrosion resistant steel. The main alloying elements are chromium nickel and copper with added phosphorous which gives it excellent self protecting qualities. As the steel reacts with elements in the atmosphere, the material forms a layer of rust over time which in essence protects the steel from corrosion.
  • WR 50 B steel is a weather resistant steel which could more accurately be termed as an "Atmospheric Corrosion Resistant Steel" and often referred to as Corten-B steel. Weathering means that due to WR 50 B steel chemical compositions, WR 50 B steel chemical composition can increase resistance to atmospheric corrosion compared to unalloyed steels. This is because it forms a protective layer on WR 50 B steel surface under the influence of the weather.
  • As a structural weathering steel, WR 50 C steels have a super property. WR 50 C steel chemical composition can increase resistance to atmospheric corrosion compared to other steels. This is because it forms a protective layer on WR 50 C steel surface under the influence of the weather.
