The Influence of cutting speed on the quality of A 709 Grade 50W weathering steel plate

The cutting speed has a parabolic relationship with the cut surface roughness of A 709 Grade 50W weathering steel plate. As the cutting speed decreases, the surface roughness of A 709 Grade 50W weathering steel plate increases rapidly. With the increase of cutting speed, the surface roughness of A 709 Grade 50W weathering steel plate is improved.

When the laser power and auxiliary gas pressure are constant, the cutting speed maintains a non-linear inverse relationship with the slit width. When the cutting speed increases, the cut width decreases. If the cutting speed is reduced, the width of the cut will increase.

When the cutting speed exceeds a certain optimal value, the roughness of A 709 Grade 50W weathering steel plate increases slowly with the increase of cutting speed. When the laser cutting speed increases to a certain value, A 709 Grade 50W weathering steel plate material will not be cut.
