I'm looking for the ASTM A242 (Type 2) equivalence in the European Standard. I read that it's S355 J0WP, but I can't find any documentation that will correlate the tensile requirements (or otherwise prove that they are indeed the same). I have bought the official ASTM A242 specification, but I can't find the s355 J0WP specification to verify whether they are indeed the same.

Can you tell me what the European equivalent is to ASTM a242, and where I can get some verification of this? If it's just a steel company online, I'd like to see it on several steel companies..

There are NEVER exact equivalents as written even if in fact the analyses are the same there may be some small difference in recommended heat treatment or content of some minor impurity or tramp element or ruling section which makes them different 'as the spec is written'.
I suggest ,unless you get a better answer,that you look for steels according to the properties needed say ultimate tensile strength,alloy and carbon content,ruling section (if to be hardened and tempered).
