After long-term exposure, the surface rust layer will gradually stabilize, prevent further corrosion of the internal steel, compared with ordinary carbon steel, the service life is greatly extended, up to several times the length of ordinary carbon steel.

Good mechanical properties: the yield strength can generally reach more than 325MPa, and the tensile strength is high, which can meet the requirements of most buildings and mechanical structures for carrying capacity. At the same time, it has a certain elongation to ensure that the steel is not easy to break suddenly when it is stressed and deformed, and has good toughness to adapt to complex stress conditions.

Weldability: Through the reasonable selection of welding process parameters, such as the appropriate welding current, voltage and welding materials, SPA-C weathering steel can achieve good welding results, weld strength is similar to the base metal, and can maintain good weather resistance, which makes it obvious in the assembly of large steel structures.

Cold bending machinability: can adapt to a certain degree of cold bending molding operation, can be processed into various shapes of components, such as C-type, Z-type purlin, etc., to meet the building roof, wall system modeling needs, and in the cold bending process, the internal structure of the steel is not easy to damage, mechanical properties are basically stable.
