At the same time, Henan will also fully implement the centralized management and control of key industries, strictly prohibit “one size fits all”, strictly implement the rating procedures for 15 key industries such as steel, coking, alumina, ceramics and pharmaceuticals, and refine the classification method to determine A. B and C-level enterprises adopt differentiated emergency emission reduction measures; in principle, Class A enterprises are not subject to the control of peaks during heavy pollution.

In recent years, Henan's air quality has continued to improve. According to data from the Department of Ecology and Environment of Henan Province, the concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5 in Henan Province in 2010 were 103 μg/m3 and 61 μg/m3, respectively, down 24% from 2014. 26%. From May to September this year, the monthly average concentration of PM2.5 in Henan for five consecutive months was better than the national air quality secondary standard, achieving the best level in the same period of the previous year.

Liu Hongdong said that Henan is about to enter the most unfavorable autumn and winter weather conditions in the year. It will take more measures to deal with heavy pollution weather emergency response and strengthen the analysis of environmental air quality.
