When heating is stopped in this carburizing agent, the carbon element penetrates into the outer surface of the SPA-H weathering steel plate, and only the surface of the weathering steel sheet becomes a high-carbon SPA-H weathering steel plate. The carburized and quenched layer can reach a depth in millimeters.
