Purpose of tempering JIS G3114 SMA 50 AW steel plate

(1) Reduce or eliminate the internal stress of JIS G3114 SMA 50 AW steel plate during quenching to prevent deformation and cracking of workpiece.

(2) The toughness of JIS G3114 SMA 50 AW steel plate was improved by tempering, and the strength and hardness of JIS G3114 SMA 50 AW steel plate were adjusted to meet the performance requirements of different workpieces.

(3) Stable structure, so that the workpiece does not change in the process of use, so as to ensure the shape and size of JIS G3114 SMA 50 AW steel plate unchanged, to ensure the accuracy of the workpiece.

According to different tempering temperature, JIS G3114 SMA 50 AW steel plate can be divided into low temperature tempering (150 ~ 250℃), medium temperature tempering (250 ~ 450℃) and high temperature tempering (450 ~ 650℃).

The heat treatment process of high temperature tempering for quenched JIS G3114 SMA 50 AW steel plate is called quenching and tempering treatment.
