First quenching heated slowly to 880℃, Then after adequate soaking at this temperature quench in oil or water. Temper as soon as tools reach room temperature. Second quenching heat to 780-820℃, then quenching in oil or water.
Tempering of 34CrMo4 alloy structural steel
Heat to 205-649℃, then cool in water or oil. normal delivery hardness 18-22 HRC.
Forging of 34CrMo4 alloy structural steel
34CrMo4 steel is forged at 926 to 1205℃ (1700 to 2200°F)
DIN 34CrMo4 steel has high strength, high hardenability, good toughness, small quenching deformation, high temperature strength and creep fracture strength. Requirements for the manufacture of higher strength than 35CrMo steel and larger section of tempering forgings, such as large locomotive traction gear, supercharger drive gear, pressure vessel, gear, rear axle, etc., by the load and spring clamp connection is greatly affected. 34CrMo4 steel is used for 2000m deep oil drill pipe joints and fishing tools, and can be used for bending machine molds, etc.
