The difference between S355J0W, S355J2W, S355k2W

S355J0W, S355J2W, S355k2W are corrosion-resistant steel plates. Implement EN10025 standard. A certain amount of alloying elements, such as P, Cu, Cr, Ni, Mo, are added to the steel. In order to increase the resistance to air corrosion, under the influence of climatic conditions, an automatic protective oxide is formed on the base metal.

S355J0W, S355J2W, S355K2W steel sheet delivery condition: delivered in hot rolled, normalized or normalized rolled condition.

When the steel plate is now marked with "+N or +AR", the specification and heat treatment shall be enforced under the condition of +N or +AR. The flag "+N or +AR" will be added to the steel name and steel number.

Example: Structural steel (S) with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance (W) in the environment with a smaller yield strength of 355MPa and 0 impact energy with a minimum value of 27J Joules (J0) and specification conditions: EN10025 for steel plates -5-S355J0W+N; or steel plate EN10025-5-1.8959+N (or +AR).

For products of quality J2 and K2 delivered in the rolled state, when the purchaser conducts normalizing treatment, the sample shall be normalized, and the performance values shall comply with the provisions of this standard. Results are to be reported in the inspection criteria. NOTE: The results of these tests do not represent the characteristics of the product as supplied, but show the characteristics after normalizing has been completed.
