Application of L245 steel

L245 steel is a low alloy steel, its properties and 20# seamless pipe similar. This steel has a wide range of applications in the field of pipeline steel, especially in the need for high strength, low Bauschinger effect, high toughness and brittle fracture resistance.

L245 steel is a low carbon or ultra-low carbon microalloyed steel with high technical content and high added value. It has good welding performance and corrosion resistance, such as anti-HIC and anti-H2S corrosion.

The chemical composition of L245 steel mainly includes carbon (C), manganese (Mn), sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P). Among them, the content of carbon is 0.26%, the content of manganese is 1.15%, and the content of sulfur and phosphorus is not more than 0.030%.

L245 steel has a yield strength of 245MPa and a tensile strength of 415MPa. These performance indicators indicate that L245 steel has high strength and toughness.
