S355J2WP Basic characteristics of weathering steel

Material: S355J2WP is a weathering steel, a heat treatment alloy steel, is a low alloy steel made by adding a certain amount of alloying elements (such as P, Cu, Cr, Ni, Mo, etc.) to ordinary steel.

Performance: It has excellent mechanical properties, welding properties and corrosion resistance and expansion resistance. Its atmospheric corrosion resistance is 28 times that of ordinary carbon steel, and its coating property is 1.510 times that of ordinary carbon steel.

Delivery condition: Usually delivered in hot rolled, normalized or normalized rolling condition.
